Yes, I know I'm cutting it fine with this post but my Australia Day just didn't go according to plan. Without going into too many details, it started off sort of crappy, but ended slightly better than it started. I hope everyone had an amazing time? I did manage to spend a little while at the beach and it was so lively and fun, with everyone all dressed in their summery, Australian best.
Anyhow, it's rather late so I won't go on for too long, I just wanted to share my Australia Day manicure with you all. I had wanted to do something special this year, but in the end, with everything that happened, all I had time for was a (very messy) half-moon mani. It really is very messy as I didn't have much time to do it, but still, I do feel a bit better for having done something to get in the spirit.
I used Essence polish in 'mellow yellow' and a NYC polish called 'limelight'. I picked up the NYC polish for $2 from Target, so this manicure really only cost me $5! What a bargain! Limelight is actually really flattering on my skin, which I didn't expect. I had to do three coats to prevent the visible nail line (VNL) showing through.
