Confession time!

Hello lovelies!

This post is going to be about a confession.

I am a perfume addict, there, I admitted it. I love having a variety of different fragrances to pick from, depending on my mood and where I'm going (because let's face it, a fragrance you wear out clubbing wouldn't suit the work atmosphere and vice versa).

I've been lusting after Burberry Body since it came out, but I just couldn't justify spending between $90 - $170 on a fragrance when I already had so many to choose from. I visited several different stores and duty free as well, but I kept telling myself to resist the temptation!

And then my restraint went out the window a week ago. I took my aunt shopping and happened to stroll into Perfume Connection, and guess what, they actually had Burberry Body in a gift set! Now, I love gift sets because they are much better value for money than purchasing the fragrance individually, and also, because we all know how much I love layering my fragrances for longevity. Now, they were selling the set containing the 100 ml Eau De Parfum, 100 ml body lotion and a miniature 5ml spray for about $160, but as they were also running a special 30% off gift sets promotion that day, the price came down to $120! I couldn't resist as this was the best price I'd seen anywhere, and so I bought it quick smart!

It might have been an unnecessary splurge but gosh, does it make me feel happy when I spray it on. I love the scent and I love that I finally purchased it after lusting after it for months! It all came packaged beautifully in a heavy, gorgeous taupe box, as you can see from the photos. Honest, I'm completely in love with the scent, it's so gorgeous, airy and light.

So have you bought any indulgent purchases lately? What's the last perfume you purchased because you just couldn't resist the temptation?

Much love,
MM.

  1. I think that is a definite bargain! I adore the packaging of the cream as well, very nice. I have never smelt this before, will have to give it a go.

  2. My last temptation was Jimmy Choo's fragrance. I held out for so long and just finally snapped and got it. And i don't regret it one bit. Now my only issue is deciding whether to use Jimmy or Burberry. Tough choice!
