Hi lovelies,
First of all, let me apologise for the lack of posts on the blog for the past couple of weeks...things have been rather crazed since getting back from Bali, and while the will and urge to blog have been present, the time and energy have not! I've been dealing with some minor health issues, family visiting from abroad and work moving addresses, but hopefully things will start to settle down somewhat from now on. :)
I've been meaning to share this product review for ages, as it's become a staple product in my daily routine! Since I started going to the Benefit Brow Bar early last year (read all about the experience here), it's become habit to groom my brows every morning, so much so I feel 'naked' going out without filling them in!
In case you hadn't heard of it before, Arch Angels is a dual-ended brow definer (read: tinted brow gel) and highlighter. There are a few different brow products I use in steady rotation (I'm working on a post with my favourite brow products, so please stay tuned), but I usually end up using the Arch Angels to finish!
Keep reading after the jump!
It's a very straightforward product to use. The tinted gel is applied using the spoolie applicator, which makes it easy to comb through your brows, after which, you apply the pearl highlighter using the doe-foot applicator provider. The gel is brown in colour, while the highlighter is a pearly, yet pigmented shade that blends beautifully into the skin for a subtle shimmer.
My favourite way to use the gel is to fill my brows in with a pencil, and then apply the gel on top to set it and keep the hair in place. My tip would be to make sure you wipe off excess gel on the neck of the bottle before applying it to your brows, as you get a more even application that way. You can still get great results by skipping the pencil, but I personally prefer a more filled out look for my brows. I like to apply the highlighter by dabbing a small dot just under the start of my brows (near the bridge of the nose), under the arch and just under the end of the brows, which does an excellent job at highlighting and defining my brows. I also sometimes add a tiny amount to my inner eye corner to give me a more wide awake look.
Bottom line, I absolutely love this product and I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. The only downside to this product is the fact that it's only available in the one shade; I'm not entirely certain it would suit ladies with blonde or red hair, but it's definitely worth a try! It recently won a Glosscars award from Beautyheaven, and it's not difficult to see why. MeMeMe Arch Angels retails for $24.95 and is available for purchase from the website.
Do you fill your brows out every day, lovelies? Do you fancy the sound of Arch Angels?
Much love,
MM.

Wow it looks and sounds amazing! And the price isn't too bad either.
ReplyDeleteYour brows always look beautiful :)
Great review hun...now you've added another product to my wishlist.
It's actually quite reasonable, Gemma! Thank you! :)
DeleteI'd love to hear what you think if you try it!
Looks good. Do hope things settle very soon. Enjoy the visitors from overseas and take time out for yourself.
ReplyDeleteWith love,
Trish.
Thank you, I hope so too! They've left now, though, but I'll be seeing them at Christmas, yay. :)
DeletePlease don't delete valid comments, it looks tacky.
ReplyDeleteWhen they are truly valid comments, exhibiting some familiarity with the blog and not nasty comments posted anonymously just to get a reaction, I'd be happy to leave them up. :)
DeleteUntil then, thanks for dropping by. :)
I saw your previous comment, she was right to delete it, if you have a problem with bloggers in general then air your grievances publicly and to your target audience, don't bury them in the comments section of one blog post by one blogger, especially one who has a history of using full makeup looks to showcase products, rather than lazy wrist swipes. It seems more like jealousy or sour grapes, both of which are very, very tacky.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comment, Kris! :))
DeleteIt means a lot to me! ♥♥♥
This has been on my wishlist for a while, but I haven't needed to buy any other mememe products, so I haven't gotten it yet (I hate buying one thing and having to pay shipping costs).
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! Unfortunately, I often end up buying something else just to justify the shipping! :P
DeleteHmmm...this seems like a great product to try out. I usually prefer this kind of shade which is light and natural. I will def check on this...
ReplyDeleteHi lovely! Haven't spoken to you for so long; looks like you have been super busy too! I fill in my brows daily, just a habit I have. I have quite dark brows naturally which means I have to make sure they look groomed or it will look pretty messy. I hope you're feeling better healthwise! xx
