Stella Nails - Lambrusco, Apollo and Silver Rainbow.

Hi lovelies,

How are we all finding this short week? I keep forgetting what day it is, having the Monday off has seriously messed with my head!

Back to blogging, I've got three gorgeous polishes to show you today from Stella Nails! In case you haven't heard of Stella Nails before, it's an Aussie indie brand based in Canberra, which creates handmade, unique nail polishes. The business is run by the lovely Lynaire (isn't that a beautiful name?) and all polishes are Big 5-free (no formaldehyde, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde resin or toluene). I actually have two more polishes in addition to these to show you, but I'll share them in a separate post as I don't want this to be too photo-heavy!

Lambrusco is a holographic fuchsia jelly that certainly isn't for the faint hearted. It definitely screams for attention! Like all jelly polishes, this one was quite sheer so I applied 3 thin layers to build up opacity. It wore pretty well as I got three days out of it before minor tip wear started to appear (I always wear topcoat).

The holographic effect isn't too bright but casts gorgeous little flecks of shimmer every time I move my nails.

Next up, we have my personal favourite, Apollo! Apollo is a duochrome that throws gold, orange and pink/purple, depending on the light. It's pretty subtle (and subtly pretty) on its own, but I chose to wear it over black for added impact (this is two thin coats over a single layer of black)! I couldn't stop staring at my nails and received lots of compliments wearing it.

Last up, we have Silver Rainbow, which is a clear topcoat containing holographic particles. I liked the versatility of this as you could layer it on top of anything! I chose to layer this over a teal polish from Natio called Emerald. The overall effect was pretty, but subtle, so I think I'll try this over a dark polish next time!

There you have it, lovelies, my introduction to Stella Nails! Stay tuned for an upcoming post where I debut two other gorgeous shades from her collection.

The polishes retail for approximately $6 each, and you can find out more information and check out Lynaire's other beautiful polishes on her website, or stalk her on Etsy or Facebook.

Which one of these was your favourite?

Much love,
MM.
x
