Have you heard of Arbonne before? It's one of those brands which owes its success to direct sales, where the products are usually only available from consultants, with other examples being Avon, Mary Kay and the famous Tupperware.
I'd been peripherally aware of the brand for a while, and had an avid curiosity about the products, which is why I was quite excited when offered the chance to try a blush, concealer and lipstick. I received the blush in Berry, concealer in Medium and lipstick in Vintage Rose.

I've been a bit blush-obsessed lately, so it was the first product I tried out. I loved the sturdy, push-button closure as it keeps the compact closed securely. The blush in Berry is a deep, almost russet shade, and the finely milled texture ensures it's a dream to blend. It's marvellously pigmented and gives beautiful colour to my cheeks. I like to just lightly touch the blush with the tip of my blush brush, and then buff it into my cheeks with circular motions. I think this shade is definitely best for medium to darker skin tones.

I was also very impressed with the concealer in Medium, and it quickly became a regular part of my daily routine. The packaging is similar to that of the blush, and the creme-to-powder formula means it's very easy to swipe a finger over the pan and blend it under the eye. It does set quite quickly and pretty much stays put for at least six hours. I found that the creamy formula made it easy to use on the sensitive under-eye area without pulling or dragging, and it masked dark circles and puffiness really well.

Last but not least, the lipstick in Vintage Rose. The slimline tube is elegant, and makes it easy to trace gracefully around the contours of my lips. Unfortunately, the shade of this was a little deceiving on the website, as it's a lot paler in real life. I'd describe this as a mauve-brown nude. It tends to look a little washed out on my skintone, but I think it would look beautiful on fairer skintones. I can say, however, that the lipstick is very pigmented and moisturising on the lips, making it very comfortable to wear. I'd definitely be eager to try this in a different shade. The only negative I'd mention is the name of the lipstick is in very small print at the bottom, making it difficult to read.
Here are some swatches for you. I tried to take some photos with concealer on one side of my face and not on the other, but they didn't really work out too well. I will keep experimenting!

Arbonne blushers retail for $41, the concealer retails for $33 and the lipstick retails for $37. The prices are a little on the steep side, but I do believe that the quality does justify the price, particularly for the blush and the concealer (a little goes a loooong way). You can purchase Arbonne products directly from the website or by filling out a form to locate your nearest consultant.
Have you tried Arbonne before, lovelies? Do any of these strike your fancy?
Much love,
MM.

That blush is such a pretty shade. I find that the lasting power of them is quite good. And the concealer sounds nice too. Not too sure if I could pull off the lipstick though, but I really like the pigmentation of Arbonne lippies. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, they are certainly longlasting!
DeleteSadly, the lippie was lovely and creamy, but a slightly difficult shade to pull off. :)
The lipstick looks lovely but I agree, for fair skin tones. Only vaguely aware of the brand name, knew nothing about the products. Great work. Hope you are taking care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteWith love,
Trish.
Thank you, Trish! I agree, this particular shade is best on fair skin tones. :)
DeleteI love my Arbonne blush, they are really great products. The lipstick colour is NOT what I associate with 'Vintage Rose' so thanks for the swatch. I just checked out their website and I much prefer the tone of their example... shame.... xo
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! :)
DeleteI think I need more blushers, and possibly a couple of different lippy shades. :)
Oh, they look very nice. Can you please do an FOTD or makeup tutorial/look with them? I imagine they'll look lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteI will add it to my list! :)
DeleteThe lippy is really hard for me to pull off though. :/
The blush is super pretty. I have the one in 'Blossom' and I love it! Their lipsticks are pretty good too, it's a shame that vintage rose washes you out.
ReplyDeleteAdding Blossom to my list to check out. :D
DeleteI agree, it was a shame, oh well!
I've only recently heard of Arbonne. I'd be interested in seeing a FOTD post too to see how they wear on you :)
ReplyDeleteI'll see what I can do. :) Possibly without the lipstick...I don't see myself pulling that off well...
DeleteI have that lipstick, it's gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteI can see how it would be stunning on you!
DeleteWow!!! That blush is so pretty. I have never tried kind of shade and seeing this makes me want to try it out. I will surely check on it.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is! I'd love to hear what you think if you do check it out. :)
DeleteGreat review! I have loved Arbonne products for years and have recently became a consultant so I can get the consultant discount! The lipstick in Candy is my favourite from the lipstick line, I actually wore it on my wedding day I love it so much!
