Sephora October 2014 Beauty Haul!

Hi lovelies!

If you follow me on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook, you might have seen my sneak peek of a Sephora box that arrived on Monday! A good friend of mine made a trip over there and was kind enough to offer to post a box of goodies to me in Malaysia if I wanted anything, and naturally, I had to take her up on it! It was the same time that a selected bunch of popular products went on sale (think Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette and Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette), so it was really fortuitous timing! There was a bit of interest in what I had purchased, so here is my haul post, as promised. This haul was made over a couple of orders so I got quite a few samples and freebies too! There are also a couple of mini rollerball perfumes I purchased which aren't in the photos; my friend is looking after these for me as they couldn't be posted over regular mail. Be warned, this is going to be really photo heavy!

First up, here's the full photo with everything I ordered...

Keep reading after the jump!
First up, we have the TokyoMilk Dark Tainted Love No. 62 Handcreme & Rollerball Travel Duo. I'd been wanting to try TokyoMilk for ages but it's really difficult to get your hands on in Australia! I have a lipgloss from this brand which I purchased in a previous Sephora haul, but the rollerball couldn't be shipped so I missed out on it last time. My friend is looking after the rollerball perfume from this set for me, but I can't wait to get my hands on it as the handcream smells divine - sexy, deep and mysterious! I also ordered a different rollerball scent in this, which is Bulletproof. Love that this set came packaged in a cute little pouch too.

Next, we have the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette, with Luminous Flush, Incandescent Electra and Mood Exposure. This blush palette is stunning, the shades are really pigmented and show up quite well on my skin although I'm pretty deep in colouring. I'd been wanting to try these for a while so a palette with three of these was a great idea! Incandescent Electra is also an exclusive, limited-edition shade, while Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure are part of the regular range.
If you're in the States, you can still pick this up from Sephora online or in stores, and if you're in Australia, this is going to be on sale at Mecca as of the 7th of November! Run, don't walk!

Here we have the gorgeous Vice 3 palette from Urban Decay! I picked up the Vice 2 palette exactly a year ago (check out the haul photos here), so I couldn't resist getting the latest edition. It has some gorgeous plum shadows that are right up my alley! My only regret is not purchasing the Vice 1 when it first went on sale. The Vice palettes are usually limited edition so if you want it, snap it up ASAP as it won't be around for long! The Vice 3 comes packaged in a cute makeup bag with the same colour scheme as the palette.

Just look at all the gorgeous shades! I'm especially in love with the last three columns on the right hand side.

I also purchased a couple of Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products; the Brow Wiz in Brunette, which I've bought before and love (so picked up a spare), and the Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown, which I've been dying to try for ages! The prices were so much better than they are in Australia, so I couldn't resist adding these to my order. I've been playing with the Brow Pomade and it's a little tricky to get the hang of, but I'm already in love. More on this when I've mastered the art of it!

I happen to love the Buxom Full On Lipsticks, they are a liner and lipstick in one, with an added plumping factor which provides a pleasant tingle. There was a new set called the Buxon Full-On Fix, which is an exclusive to Sephora, so I had to pick this up!

I also purchased a Sephora Collection Sand Illusions Baked Eyeshadow Palette. Truthfully, I only got this because it was on sale and because I needed a few extra points to trade for freebies. The pigmentation on this isn't fantastic, but the blue is a gorgeous shade. I'm going to have to try applying this wet. Unfortunately, it's no longer available on the Sephora website, but you might be able to pick it up in stores.

Now on to the good stuff, the freebies! I picked up this Buxom Too Hot to Handle set with my Sephora points. The set contains a Buxom Waterproof liner in Call Me, lipstick in Swinger, lipgloss in Pucker Up and bronzer in Tahiti. I was also supposed to get some samples with my order but they had run out so they substituted it with an extra Buxom liner instead. No complaints from me!

I also found a couple of order code freebies, so I got a Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, and used my leftover points for the MUFE lip pencil and MUFE eyeliner pencil.

There was a freebie code for a free Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer deluxe sample + Cat Eye How To Booklet, so I added it to the order. The booklet has some cute how-to looks in there which can be applied to other makeup palettes, plus the Shadow Insurance Primer is a favourite after my much beloved Urban Decay Primer Potion!

The orders also came with several freebie sample sachets. I'm pretty excited to try the Boscia cleansing oil as it's available from sale here in Sephora Malaysia, plus the NARS eyeshadow primer which I've heard a lot of good things about.

That's it for my latest Sephora order, lovelies! What do you think, did I pick up some good stuff or not? Much love and kisses to my gorgeous friend for being willing to be my 'makeup mule' and going to the effort to mail this to me!

If there's anything you'd like to see a review on, leave me a request in the comments!

Much love,
MM.

  1. Ohhh fantastic haul!!! I can't wait to hear what you think about all of these. I've had my eyes on the Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette since seeing it in a youtube video but have luckily kept my bank balance safe by not getting it from Mecca. I can't wait to see what looks you do from the book. :)

    1. Thank you! Yes, I know...Dec 5th! :)

I've been to many stores all over the world now, but I do think that the US Sephora has the best loyalty program and brand selection as compared to the other regions! Can't wait to get to a US store someday. :)
