The texture of these are supposed to be demi-matte, but I would personally describe this as a solid satin with a slight touch of gloss, as the swatch photo below demonstrates.

The packaging is fun and funky, with the classic silver Clinique finish for the top, and a colourful base matching the lipstick shade. That makes it a lot easier to identify which shade you're picking up, should you happen to own more than a few in this range. The square tube is a beauty blogger's dream, as it means it doesn't roll away when you set it down, which also makes it a lot easier to photograph. The lid is designed to fasten shut securely, so there's little chance of it accidentally coming apart in your handbag.
