L'Oreal Paris Color Riche La Vie En Rose (Exclusive Pinks) Collection Swatches & Review!

Hi lovelies,

I'm sorry for the radio silence here on the blog! I've been on a short term contract and there just hasn't been time for much outside of work. Winter also always wreaks havoc with my blogging, as I have to wait for the weekends to take my photos. I'm a little more active on Instagram, so hop on over there and show me some love, if you aren't already! Sneaky tip, there will be a little giveaway coming up very soon, but it will be Instagram-based, so be sure to follow me so as not to miss out! Let me know who you are so I can be sure to follow back!

Anyway, I have missed blogging so I resolve to try and get a post out at least twice a week. Thank you for staying with me and continuing to read my posts. ♥

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche La Vie En Rose Exclusive Pinks Collection.

There's no better way to celebrate being back after a month long absence than to share a post on a beautiful collection of lipsticks that arrived at my door a week or so ago. Bear with me, this will be a very photo-heavy post, because I couldn't help but take heaps of photos of this gorgeous collection!

Keep reading after the jump!

Each of the La Vie En Rose delicate pink lipsticks is named after a L'Oreal Ambassador (pictured).

The La Vie En Rose Collection is a set of beautiful, delicate pink lipsticks created to compliment five gorgeous L'Oreal ambassadors, and are aptly named after each of the ladies; Naomi, Julianne, Natasha, Eva and Doutzen. Each lipstick is also paired with a matching shade of Color Riche nail varnish, though I believe these are shades from the existing collection. I'll only be covering the lipsticks in this post, so let me know if you really want to see a separate post on the polishes! The lip shades are described as:

Naomi's delicate rose - pale tea pink
Julianne's delicate rose - pale nude pink
Natasha's delicate rose - fuchsia pink (but I would call this more of a peachy pink)
Eva's delicate rose - berry pink
Doutzen's delicate rose - vibrant pink

L-R: Julianne, Naomi, Natasha, Eva and Doutzen.

The lipsticks are housed in matte black packaging with golden accents, and have the name of each respective ambassador on it, lending to a very classy feel. They click close very securely, so there's little chance of it coming apart in your bag (always a factor for me, as I have had to scrub lipstick off the inside of my handbag a few too many times for comfort).

The formula of these lipsticks is pretty good, with good pigmentation (although more so for the deeper/brighter shades), and creamy, non-drying application that feels quite balmy on the lips. I get about 4 hours wear with these, though I have to reapply after eating. These wear off pretty smoothly too, without leaving that dreaded ring of colour. Some of the shades do accentuate dry patches, so ensure that your lips are well moisturised for the best application.

One last thing to add, these lippies have quite a strong rose scent which does linger for a little while after application. It doesn't bother me at all, I actually love it!

I'd say that Naomi and Julianne are probably best on fairer skintones, while Doutzen, Natasha and Eva are gorgeous on both fair and deeper skintones. My personal pick is Eva (worn over a slightly deeper lip liner), though I also really love Doutzen.

The La Vie En Rose Collection will be part of the permanent Color Riche line as of this month, and will be available from selected L'Oreal stockists for $21.95. Which one of these shades is calling your name, lovelies? Let me know in the comments!

  6. Hey Nalini, these collection looks so cute! Being a bit on the darker side myself, most of the shades are too light for my dark coloured lips, but the last one (your favourite too I see!) looks like a great rosie nude.

  7. These look beautiful! I love the formula and pigmentation of L'Oreal lipsticks, but the scent is something that always bothers me about their lipsticks :( Can't get over it x
